Whether sending one off to a loved one or keeping one as a personal souvenir, this beautifully reprinted postcard of Auguste Rodin's (French, 1840–1917) The Cathedral is a great memento from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.About the sculpture:
Rodin’s belief in the expressive power of every aspect of human anatomy led to some of his most radical experiments, like this sculpture of two right hands. The sculptor published a book on the Gothic cathedrals of France in 1914 and renamed this piece, formerly known as The Arch of Alliance, after the rib vaulting found in Gothic churches.
